Technique: Fabric made on a waist loom, supplementary weft technique, warp threads in Egyptian cotton, ivory color, weft threads in Egyptian cotton, ivory color, supplementary weft in baby alpaca wool. The fabric displays iconography such as flowers, Greca patterns, and birds.
This huipil is part of a project called "Dialogo de pueblos Originarios de Mexico con Oaxaca," which means the weaving was done by the hands of the Chiapas people, while the finishing touches (rapacejo) were done by the hands of the Zapotec people from Oaxaca.
